The Sabedora are the Wizards of South and Central America. They originated near the modern town of Manacapuru around 5237 BCE. They began as a single tribe who then migrated north and south, east and west. The Realm of the Sabedora now encompasses all of south and central America, as well as much of Mexico.
The Sabedora are wand power wizards. They are also charged with protecting numerous magical creatures. (The Sabedora have the richest diversity of magical creatures within their Realm.) As protectors of the natural environment, the Sabedoras have the power of Falmnyama (the ability to communicate with creatures). This ability encompasses both magical and non-magical creatures. Approximately 45% of the Sabedora can Valutus (shapeshift into animal forms). Approximately 2% of the Sabedora can Valutus into Tattvaids (elemental forms such as nymphs, sylphs, dryads, naiads, etc) - a very rare ability. Many Sabedora can also Lehvima, while others can parkour.
The Sabedora are loosely divided into Four Houses. Members of every House are found in every Sabedora settlement. The Houses are Pais, Mar, Ceu, and Selvida. The Selvida is the largest house. It is the Selvida who can Valutus. Selvida, Pais and Mar can parkour. The Ceu can Lehvima. Those Sabedora who can valutus into Tattvaids are spread throughout the four Houses.
